Mourning the me I clean.
The works “Why Am I Losing So Much Hair?”, “Mourning”, and “I Keep Pulling” navigate the relationship between health and mortality. With each shower, we wash away our past selves, but hair holds it’s memories. Hair pulling has become a compulsive disorder in conversation with self harm for me, desperate to collect the parts of myself that never die.
